Powhatan’s golf workforce received its house opener on the Mill Quarter Plantation Golf Membership with a slim conquer visiting Manchester, 163-164.
Serving to make the distinction on the 9-hole, par-34 course was Powhatan junior Brandon Washburn, who earned medalist honors with a low rating of 39. He edged out Manchester’s low scorer Ivan Chan, who shot a 40. Washburn’s highlights included a birdie on the seventh gap.
For Powhatan, senior Connor Voorhees and freshman Noah Lane every shot a 41, and junior Adam Camp rounded out the workforce’s prime 4 with a rating of 42.
For Manchester, Andrew Schweitzer and Holden Loving every shot a 41 and Brady Johnson had 42.
Powhatan will play James River and Monacan at Stonehenge Golf & Nation Membership subsequent Tuesday at three:30 p.m.
